Vegas File Error

Ok - So I have a few vegas project files that will not open! - It is freaking me out because neither the main file nor .bak file will open! Strange part is other vegas files on the same hardrive will open...Anyone out there have any suggestions - funny part is I cannot even move the vegas files around - like to a different part of the hardrive - it says: The file cannot be copied - be sure to check that it is write protected or that the file is not in use ect. - and when I try opening them in vegas it says: An error occurred while loading the project file - the item was not found...The file could not be found...Anyone have any advice?

This may sound obvious, but are you sure you nothing else is running that is locking that file? The best way to be sure is to reboot your system and don't run anything when it boots up. Then try to move the files and see if Windows lets you.
