Vegas Error (P2)

Upon opening project with only P2 media in it I get this:

Media file K:\VIDEO\P2\BG_1\CONTENTS\VIDEO\0001SL.MXF has changed enough that the media stream properties from the project file could not be applied. Default media stream properties were used.

no, i might try the same files on a different drive to test but nothing changed

(note that the audio is still playing in vegas---its just throwing that error up every time the project is launched)

additionally, when first dragging in the MXF files there were 2 MXF files (each 32.00 KB) that when selected caused an error that said:

Not a video P2 MXF file
Open the video MXF file to get the MXF audio

But those files were not placed into the timeline.

I've seen this recently as well. There still seem to be some bugs in Raylight and 9.0 (I've got C on a 32 bit machine). Have also had problem with out of memory issues when creating bins. That's a brand new one for me. Recently been trying to edit two cameras from a football game and I can't set up all the footage in separate bins for each camera (and then naming them card 1, 2, etc...) without getting an out of memory error. Just not sure what's out of memory as I haven't pulled anything into the timeline or tried to play back any files!

right...this is in 9c....I will ask DVFilm what they think....

but yes- VV 9 is pretty rough around the edges so far...especially since I have several mixed format projects that are really high demand! the research i have done so far almost indicates my MacPro 2,1 (which wont boot 64bit) will not get me through these projects...thinking I might have to get a new mac when they come out in Q1...(people seem to be saying its better in VV9 64 bit land ---but of course I dont know.)

from dv film:

Hello

There may be a problem with the Vegas 9.0 plugin regarding memory usage. A possible fix is in the Beta 1.2 release. You can get 1.2 by following the link for the raylight support blog on our products page.
