vegas crash

Hi,

I.m using Vegas 7.0e and raylight 3 with HVX200 MFX files on my windows latop and an external seagate USB 2 drive. I'm shooting a documentary at 720 24 PN. So far I'm just transcribing interviews, no editing and no output needed. For kicks I shot another project (same camera settings), & cut a 1 minute piece together and as soon as I started rendering files out, Vegas started crashing. I have all the settings in Vegas and in Raylight correst, the files will usually complete rendering but Vegas always crashes, doesn't matter what I render, .avi,.mov, .mpeg, etc.

Has anyone else experienced this? Do Vegas and raylight play nice together for everyone?

I'm sending emails back to Raylight. but so far no explanations as to cause. I'm a little weary to start my doc edit until I have a stable system.

thanks for any insight,

if you are bringing over hd video from the hvx200 to vegas, the problem could be that vegas does not yet support the hvx200's hd files , so it can't handle it and its crashing. Its too bad vegas does not support the hvx's hd .....

:violin:try sd instead of 720p and that should work better

That is the purpose of Raylight jd

I am using a bizarre set-up right now, Macdrive to communicate with a Mac formatted External Drive and Raylight AND Raylight Decoder to edit.

I have expereinced a few hiccups but that was due to my computer doing Windows based stuff while communicating with the Apple Drive. I have since turned almost all my processes off and don't even think about doing other work while in the middle of editing

I'm using Vegas 5 and on a PC (Obviously)
