Vegas Capture

Is it good practice to check "deinterlace image when capturing stills" in Vegas capture.? Will that help clear up the problem of interlace flicker more effectively than checking "reduce interlace flicker" on the timeline? Or should these be used together?

Thanks David. What other things, settings I guess, do you recommend to reduce the flicker that can be problematic with stills?
One method I have used is to lay down a duplicate track, blur it just a bit and create a negative mask on track one to show the troublesome area now blurred and no longer flickering. But that can be a time consuming process. One of our clients is a decorator and we use before and after stills as part of promotional projects.
Venitian blinds can look particularly nasty.
Does the photo's resolution and/or format matter?
