In Vegas capture, just leave the setting at the 29.97 NTSC default. The DVX inserts the pulldown and like every DV camera--it records the signal as 29.97 NTSC.
After you've captured you can edit in a 24p DV project. Make sure you have "Allow pulldown removal when opening 24p DV" checked under Options|Preferences|General.
YOu can also check to make sure that the "pulldown flags" are set by clicking once on your avi file in the media pool. Down at the bottom of the media pool it should say. . . . Field Order = None (progressive scan), DV (removing 2-3 pulldown) or Dv (removing 2332 pulldown). IF it does not say this then something is wrong if you shot your footage in 24p. IF it does, then make sure that your project settings match, and edit away.
