Alright...I had a digibeta tape with telecined 16mm film transfered via a black magic card through final cut pro. This gave me 28gigs worth of quicktime files (i'd just go back and take them in via AVI, but I've already paid a lot to have this done.

I primarily use vegas video, it seems that vegas can only properly locate and remove a pulldown from a DV or AVI file... Which presents me with quite a problem.

Will this work? I want to load up all of those quicktime files in Final cut pro, and then re export them as AVIs... does anyone know what the actual process that I should go through is? will this work and preserve the pulldown? Should i load the quicktime files into a 29.97 timeline, remove the pulldown and then export them to AVI?

i'm not exactly sure what i should do to make sure the AVI file has the proper pulldown. I've tried to through after effects but it always came out slightly jumpy....

help please

This is just a guess, but...

If you can afford to work in DV format, render the whole timeline to a 24 P DV AVI, inserting either 2-3-3-2 or 2-3 pulldown. Then start a new project using the newly rendered 24P DV file.
