Has anyone ever heard of VIDEO EXPLOSION? It has to be what Vegas was before it was Vegas because it's the exact same program. Anyone know the back story on that? Who owned it way back then? Was it still SoundForge?

Vegas was always Vegas, but there were consumer versions packaged as various things, including Sony Screenblast.
There was also a total ripoff which came out a couple of years ago.

Weird. VIDEO EXPLOSION is EXACTLY like Vegas, except you only get 3 video tracks. The layout, FX, etc... they're all exactly the same. I guess it was one of the consumer versions. Pretty crazy. I couldn't believe it when I saw it.
Interesting stuff. I've never seen Sony Screenblast. The guy showing me Video Explosion loved it. I told him that if he loved that, then he'd love Vegas.
