I recently purchased Vegas- coming from Avid Xpress. I am really enjoying the new workflow but regret making a simple mistake today!
I have two .veg project files that I have been working on. The first file was nested in the timeline of the second file (a very cool feature). While working on the second file my computer had a hiccup (as they do sometimes) and crashed. No problem, I save often and have autosave enabled. After restarting the system Vegas told me it had been shut down incorrectly and that it waas going to load the backup file- and that I should Save As as soon as possible. The file loaded properly, so I saved it over the original .veg file.... so I thought. :embarasse
More than five minutes later I realized that I had actually saved the second file over the first file... by this time Vegas had also created a new autosave (effectively eliminating my last and only good backup of file one).
My big question: is there a way to have autosave save a new .veg-bak file every five minutes instead of overwritting the old one? This would be similar to the Attic folder on Avid.
