Vegas audio - simulating a recording

Hey guys,

Anyone good with Vegas audio filters? I have an audio clip recorded with the DVX that I want to filter to make it sound like it's coming from a recording of a phone call. I played around with the simple distortion filter but didn't know what I was doing and didn't get great results.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

EQ. Roll off the top and bottom so you're only listening to 500 to 5000 Hz.

If you really want to go authentic convert the audio to 4-bits, 8Khz. But the EQ trick works quite well.

try using the Resonant Filter and the preset called Teenage Late Night Radio by the Bed.

with such a cool preset name, I'll have to try it myself - I had no idea the Resonant filter could do cool stuff like that
