Vegas and Timecode

If you import a 1 hour captured clip into Vegas 5, how is Vegas identifying TimeCode breaks?
Or to be more precise, I want Vegas to divide that clip into smaller clips and my in-out points will be "rec-pause" points from tape.
I know every time you press rec-pause while shooting, camera records this data. Is Vegas 5 able to read this data and automaticaly break the clip on these points?

Yes. Just make sure you have "scene detection" enabled in your capture preferences (which it is at default).
