Vegas and Macbook Pro

Hey all. Just wanted to post out of excitement. I received my Macbook Pro yesterday, and installed XP and Vegas on it today. It runs great! I haven't had any problems yet. I was sad to have to give up Vegas when I switched to the Mac, but now I get the best of both worlds! Sorry if there is no question here...just a little too happy about this.

MBP is going to dominate, for exactly these types of things. Now you can run Serious Magic DV Rack (or DVC Rack or HDV Rack) on your MBP, for example.

I'm waiting for the Core 2 Duo version of the MBP to be announced (hopefully within a month) and I'll grab one of those bad boys...

Exactly. I was expecting a performance hit or a lot of crashing, but it has been nothing but a great experience so far. Definitely a viable option for people who are required to edit on FCP on some projects but prefer working with Vegas for personal projects. I just love the flexibility I have now.

Any idea of when the new models will be released?...

I can't say for sure, but I don't see why it wouldn't. I haven't heard of too many issues running Windows programs on XP on a MBP.

They're anticipated to be announced at the wwdc, which I believe is August 7th? Although they may only announce the desktops and not a new MBP...

Is there a way to transfer a file between OSs on the MBP. Like, if I captured video with FCP onto the Hard Drive, can I then boot XP and Vegas and open up that video clip???

If this can't be done, what would be the best way transfer files from an mac's OS to XP?

I have thought about a MBP, but I am sad to see they do not have a 1920 x 1080 rez screen like some PC notebooks currently have on the market. It is probably okay for the "small HD" folks at 720p.
