Vegas and DNxHD

I converted .mts 720p50 files from HMC 151 to DNxHD 720p50 at best quality using Proxy Stream in Vegas 8c.
DNxHD files Vegas sees as 1080p50. Is it something wrong with Vegas or with me :)
Opening DNxHD files in QT everything is correct. Movie Inspector shows Avid Codec 1280x720p 50FPS.
Maybe someone knows what is goin on and how to fix it.

Vegas was seeing my dnxhd 720p files as 1080p files yesterday for some reason. They imported to the time line just fine, however. In my experience Vegas has never handled dnxhd files perfectly.

When I import clips to the timeline in 720p project they play not so bad ;) But I wonder if Vegas read them as real 1080p50 clips and then scale them to 720p50. I want to know that because I'd like to be aware if I lose on quality of picture or not.

When I convert files using Mpeg StreamClip, or with a real render in Vegas, I do not get any such problems with Vegas misidentifying what the clips are. I'd examine the conversion method you are using if I were you.

Strange thing is that I first time converted 20min footage everything was fine; 720p50AVC to 720p50DNxHD and then 720p project done. After couple of weeks I noticed that Vegas began showing those 720p clips as 1080p.
Recently I reinstalled fresh WinXP on formated partition. I hoped it fixed it. Unfortunately didn't.
I'm not going to make big lament. I'm going to live with that.
Maybe it's because of WinXP, codecs or something else. It is the same in Vegas 8c and 9b.
Transcoding from timeline doesn't help.
Thanks

Today I installed trial of Adobe Premiere Pro. Same machine. Premiere Pro shows clips as they are. No mismatch. It looks like another surprise in Vegas camp. :(
Things go worse and worse. Does Vegas work well only with SD AVI files?

Nothing surprises me any more in Vegas. What a shame.
