Vegas 9 - Early thoughts?

It hasn't been out too long, but does anyone have any early thoughts on Vegas 9?

Yeah, i figured there would be some good discussions regarding Vegas 9, but in my searching, I haven't been able to find anything yet.

I have been using it for a while. Works great. However I was VERY dissapointed they didnt fix the 60p issue. Still does stupid stuff if you try to edit 60p with out transcoding first.

I downloaded the demo. It's the first version of Vegas I chose not to upgrade to.

Why is that David? It was worth every penny to me for DPX and RED support.

Any reason why you chose not to upgrade? Do you like 8 better? Just no difference?

It's a GREAT upgrade if you're working with RED footage as already noted. You can just drag and drop R3D files, something I can't do with FCP 2. Also it's faster than RedCine for transcoding.

I prefer working with FCP though for anything else, and to tell you the truth, if I've transcoded RED footage, I'll work on it on FCP rather than Vegas only because I'm used to the interface.
