Vegas 8.1 - 64 bit codecs?

[PerroneFord]

So I was working with Vegas 8.1 last night and wanted to do a quick render out to an AVI file. A HuffYUV Avi file. Unfortunately, it seems that Vegas 8.1 doesn't recognize any of my third party installed windows codecs. I could output in a variety of quicktime codecs though.

Am I going to have to move to Quicktime to work with Vegas 8.1? Not that it would be terrible, it would just change my workflow a bit.

Try the Lagarith open source intermediate format instead. They offer a 64bit version. It's a next generation codec, derived from Huffyuv. Only problem is that it's only available for Windows.
