Using the commands: file; capture - Vegas displays a capture window with the timecode fields inactive. My source video is connected via firewire and captures just fine as long as I manually cue it up, press record and press stop over and over again for each capture. Do I need a capture card to be able to designate in - out points for automated HDV capture from Sony HDR HC1 handycam?
I'm new to Vegas - I like most things about it - but even Premiere Pro has timecode batch-capture built in. What am I missing?
