I'm using the demo version of Vegas 7, and have noticed that after capturing HDV footage with Scene Detect enabled, the resulting clips have little jumps/dropped frames at the heads and/or tails. If I lay several of these clips side by side directly in the timeline, I notice there seem to be dropped frames at the heads. At times a clip will include a few frames from the next or previous clip.
Basically it seems I have to go in and clean up the footage manually. Is this normal behavior for Vegas 7? If so, this is irksome. The scene detect in Ppro 1.5 always yielded perfectly clean clips.
