Vegas 7 and Windows Vista?

[waycooljr]

How does VEGAS perform with windows VISTA? Looking to get a newer laptop now that the prices have come down. Any suggestions would be great.

I've run both 7 and now 8 on Vista Home Premium with no problems. I'm just now playing with 8.1 on Vista 64.

So is the standard windows Vista home 32 bit and the pro version is 64 bit?

Vista home premium comes in two flavors, 32 bit and 64 bit. If you have a 64 bit processor you can run the 64 bit version -- the 32 bit version will run on 32 bit and 64 bit processors.
