Vegas 7 - AC-3 audio codec?

[Jamison]

I just got Vegas 7.0 and i went to render my audio files to AC3 (just like i had before on my vegas 6.0) AND IT F***ING TELLS ME I HAVE TO SPEND ANOTHER 200$ FOR AN AC3 AUDIO CODEC!!! ARE THEY INSANE!? I COULD JUST RENDER MY FILES ON VEGAS 6.0 FOR FREE AND NOW I HAVE TO SPEND 200$ DOLLARS TO ON 7.0!?!?

AC-3 comes with the Vegas+DVD Architect package, not Vegas by itself.

If you have DVD Architect (any version) installed, the AC-3 encoder should be there.

Vegas by itself has never come with the AC-3 encoder. There's a license fee to Dolby for each copy.

(Which is why buying the +DVD package is a no-brainer.)

Reinstall DVD architect, that should take care of it.

[Jamison]

ok i see thanx!

And... he's okay!
