I like the new Media Manager. I'm hoping it works well with both your Library and the Current project's media - I'm not sure of that yet.

Does the fullscreen second monitor work with the TV-out on most video cards, or only through a second DVI port?

I wanna get vegas 6 soon. My computer Has intel pentium 3.2Ghz (1), 120GB HD, 1GB ram, radeon x800 pro video card, and dvd burner and all that.

Is that enough to edit 24p?

Way more than enough.

It's definitely got the horsepower, but I'd suggest a second, dedicated hard drive for your video and render files.

I've got a Radeon 9200 card and the s-video on that works as a secondary monitor from Vegas, so does the RGB and the DVI!

Just plugged it into my projector and up it came!

What I'm trying to establish is if the output is the same as that sent through firewire, i.e. color corrections etc will be correct.

I'd imagine so, but of course, you'd have to calibrate your monitor/tv/projector correctly if you want to do serious colour correction.

Awesome.

Those video-outs are craptastic -- I wouldn't use it for colour correction. But it'll be useful for seeing how it'll look on a TV or doing a quick dump to VHS.

Previously I had to use the TV as part of the desktop, and stretch the preview window to cover it, which caused ugly scaling aliasing.

That's probably the worst way to do it (you're viewing color and resolution meant for a computer screen on a TV when you do it that way, and it's completely unsuitable). You should have previewing out through firewire.
