Hello,

I'm a newbie in video editing and have narrowed my software search to the Vegas suite. It seems the Platinum and Vegas 6 + DVD are very similar except for AC3 sound.

It seems like there is a wide variance in pricing for the Vegas 6 + DVD bundle and I am wondering if there are differences in the bundles (not including the academic priced ones).

Here are three that seem the same to me but their prices vary by a good margin. Are they indeed the same, am I missing something?

Thanks in advance for your help

And I bought my bundle here in Norway for what would be about $900 in the US... :(

The NewEgg thing looks great, go for it!

**** don't buy from Amazon. Sony's site itself is cheaper than that. You can get the production bundle for about $400 from various site (Videoguys is one I think)

If you're skint for cash, I have a Vegas 6 + DVD (It was originally vegas5 + DVDA and I upraded to 6) that I'd sell for about $300 + shipping from New Zealand. I've moved to a Mac so don't need it anymore. It's basically the production bundle. Vegas6 + DVDA + The Borris stuff, box etc.

If you're interested, PM me and I'll give you all the details of what it is. Here's a pic of what you'd get. http://aza-n-dee.net/aaron/vegas/vegasanddvd.jpg
