Vegas 5 training

I am new to videography and I am interested in locating a source for excellent quality training on CD for Vegas 5.

The website Virtual Training Company www.VTC.com has a 6 hour Vegas 5 tutorial by Doug Sahlin that can be viewed for $25 for a month’s subscription, or purchased for $99.95

The site Vegas Training and Video http://www.vegastrainingandtools.com/index.html has a set of CD’s for $99.

I would appreciate feedback as to which of these tutorials may be the best, or if there are other options of which I am not aware. The $25 for a month’s subscription to VTC sounds tempting.

Thanks in advance for your comments

www.vasst.com

Any Vegas user should explore it -- it's an outstanding resource.

Douglas Spotted Eagle has a set of training materials which are well worth the investment, too.

Re: Vegas 5 training

Both Gary and Douglas have a gift of communicating with clarity.
I have used teaching material from both,---and recommend both.
Have learned a lot from both men, and am dumb as a post.
If I can learn from these guys, anybody can.
Trust me. ;D

Re: Vegas 5 training

I purchased Gary's DVD's and highly recommend them. I have both "The Vegas 5 companion" as well as the "DVD Architect" training series. I've been a Vegas user since the Sonic Foundry Vegas Video days, and still learned a ton of new tips, tricks, and shortcuts. He presents the information in a down to earth, easy to understand format. Get em. You won't regret it.

Re: Vegas 5 training

I have several different Vegas training things, and Gary's is the best so far.
