Vegas 5, DVD-A 2

I get from over at the COW that DVD-A 2 will permit alternate soundtracks (like a commentary) and subtitling. These will, of course, be welcome additions.

I hope Vegas 5 includes more 2D effects capability -- I understand 3D effects will be a key upgrade.

Vegas baby... Nab is in Vegas, where they will release Vegas during the Vegas Nab next month. You can goto Vegas to see the new Vegas, or stay away from Vegas then buy Vegas when its available after Vegas.

Re: Vegas 5, DVD-A 2

NAB = National Association of Broadcasters (I think ::)) It the tradeshow Mecca for those of us with video on the brain (and in the blood and elsewhere...) :o

Re: Vegas 5, DVD-A 2

Exactly right. It is, in fact, one of the three largest conventions we get here. It's for video & film production, radio production, television stations, radio stations, and all associated businesses who have anything to do with video or audio being produced and broadcast.

Re: Vegas 5, DVD-A 2

I wonder if it will be cheaper to buy the upgrade or just buy another copy of Vegas 4 now and get the free upgrade. Does anyone have an idea of what the upgrade price to 5.0 will be?
