Vegas 5.0 Capturing 24p?

I just upgraded from 4.0 to 5.0 and ran some tests (keep in mind I was not even a padawan at 4.0 so master advice here would help) and even though I set the capture to be 24p when I select the clip the properties say it is 29.97 fps.

Is this normal to capture in this manner or is it lying when it says it is 29.97? Is there anyway to capture at 24p and have it stay at 24fps? If not are there frames I need to manually remove? I would hate to have to remove 5-6 frames every second of film...yikes!

It's 29.97 until you drop it into a 24p timeline. Nothing is changed at capture.

It should say in the clip properties that the pulldown is removed. Does it?
