vegas 4.0 deinterlace filter?

Hey guys, working in vegas 4.0 until our request for 5.0 comes in. Is there any quick and easy deinterlacing solution out there for vegas?

I'm working on a quick spot with a load of still photos and the textile patterns on some suits are really giving me trouble.

Suggestions appreciated.

Re: vegas 4.0 deinterlace filter?

You could set the project field order to progressive and the de-interlace method to blend fields.  That usually works for me.  Just be sure to render progressive.

You could also try Mike Crash's Smart Deinterlace filter.  I've only tinkered with it a little, but it seems to do a good job.

Sorry, forgot to include the link

Damn vegas and their nonsensical plasement of common features!

If it did everything the same as Final Cut, it would be . . . Final Cut.

;D

{shameless plug}
If you use Ultimate S, it applies Reduce Interlace Flicker to every still on the timeline in one shot for you if that's what you need.

{end of shameless plug}

Hey, it's not my dime...I'll suggest the plugin to my hire-ups and see if they nibble.
