Vegas 2 Youtube

[GlobalDVC]

Anyone tested the best VEGAS settings for YOUTUBE?

[David Jimerson]

What do they list their requirements as?

These settings convert the best

These settings convert the best

These settings convert the best they say but to what format I do not know. Do we have these on Vegas?

Videos saved with the following settings convert the best:

• MPEG4 (Divx, Xvid) format
• 320x240 resolution
• MP3 audio

Yep, that's what I found out also.

What I've found (tenatively) is that the best results come from following the above settings, but making Divx output a filesize that is as close as possible to the maximum (100mb). That way, you've got the highest quality 320x240 (or 320x180 ws) clip and they just have to convert it to flash. Clips look better this way than precompressed to a smaller filesize in my experience.
Still haven't found the perfect solution though. For some reason, P Diddy gets much better looking clips than I do.

I've submitted MOV to them before. Those specs are like the baseline they want, but they'll accept other formats as long as the file size is under -- I haven't seen a definitive list of formats tho.
