I upgraded to Vegas 10c, 64-bit on Windows 7. and now when I click on "Capture Video," and select "DV," the Capture utility window fails to open. Basically the upgrade to 10c killed Sony's DV Video capture utility.
I've tried going to Options -> Preferences -> Video -> Use External Capture Application. Checked or unchecked, it still doesn't work.
I've navigated to the location of the vidcap:
C:\Program Files\Sony\Vegas Pro 10.0\vidcap60.exe. I see Vidcap60 in that folder. When I double click it, I see the message: "The program can't start because MSVCR71.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."
Is the solution to un and re-install Vegas? Is there a simpler solution?
