Vegas 10c - All Markers Disappeared!?!

Hi all, I just upgraded from Vegas 10a to 10c. Problem is, the Markers no longer are saved in the Timeline or in the Trimmer.

Am I doing something wrong? I've used Markers without a problem since Vegas 7. I saved the project file, have "Automatically Save Markers in Trimmer" checked under options, even clicked "Save Markers/Regions" in the Trimmer window.

If this is a bug, as it looks to be, this is an absolutely unbelievable oversight by Sony. Kind of hard to edit without using Markers.

Actually: The Markers only aren't saving in the Trimmer. They do save in the Timeline. But this is still unacceptable; I annotate takes in the Trimmer using Markers. Really, is this functionality TOTALLY BROKEN in Vegas 10c?

Ok, the problem seems only limited to mp4 media (which isn't really an editing format). 10c seems to be working normally with more standard editing media formats.

I still have this problem in sony vegas 11.
For me markers can be saved with mp4 files but not with avi files.
This bug has been around since vegas 8 and is really annoying, I've had enough and switch to premiere.

Anyways, why does vegas have to save those markers within the source file? It obviously leads to unpredictable problems and doesn't work in most formats. It would be much simpler if it just created a text file with the timepoints of the markers and load it whenever you open the source file.
