I use it when color grading to get a sense of what I am doing to an image. I also use it for determining color casts and removing them.

Well, that's not what quite I meant, but yes, that is a use as well. When I am manipulating an image, I am usually looking at the the RGB parade and RGB histogram to get a sense of how my colors are shifting in what parts of the image. But the vectorscope gives me a nice, overall view, and lets me know if I am going to run into trouble down the road if I am going out to DVD or broadcast.
