I am in the final stages of post production on my first short film using the dvx100A which I bought some way back. I am using mostly Premiere Pro projects but am also using one project in CS3. I shot in progressive letter boxed and upon exporting from my main project to Movie and playing in media player i am noting that in certain shots the letterbox size at the top and bottom and even at the sides changes. The picture either covers the whole width of the screen and has tick bars at the top and bottom only, or it has less tick bars at the yop nad bottom but has also bars on both sides or it has even tickers bars on the sides. I can note that there are differences even in shots that I took in the same shoot and settings and within the same capture, so settings in premiere for capture were the same. I set the camera in F5 and in letter box setting. I never noticed this issue while burning to a dvd and then playing on the TV, but i do not exclude that this might be due that thus is a CRT TV that might not recognize certain widescreene settings or so. My main Premier Pro project contains some avi files that i exported from other projects or edits that I did in this project.
Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong or advice on what to check for or maybe how I can rectify the situation.
