So I bought the hvx200 varizoom to make life a little easier. At first it worked. I used it on about 2 projects and then I took a hiatus from filming to finish editing the movie I shot and to further develop a couple other aspects of my company.
It's been maybe 5 to 6 months since I actually used the varizoom with my hvx. Finally I decided to use it again today for a nice project I just started. All of a sudden (yes I did plug it in right) the zoom automatically turned on and started zooming in really slow.
It was annoying because I had to hold the zoom-out side down slightly all day to stop it from zooming in like that. I also realized that it got really sensitive when I actually hit the zoom-in side as well. I mean I barely touched that side and it would zoom in right away. Everything else worked fine with it. It just sucks because I only used it a couple of times and it was nice the first 2 projects but now I feel screwed because I bought it through Amazon (I believe Adorama sold it through Amazon to me) and I'm not sure if it is covered.
I feel let down by Varizoom at this point. Please let me know if there is something I can do to fix this problem and if not I will call Adorama and/or Amazon to see what they can do. Thanks in advance.
