Varizoom Rocker Style Controller

Hey,
So I'm soon going to purchase my first DVX, and at B&H, as I'm sure you all know, they offer different packages. I have no idea what this "varizoom rocker style controller" does, that has the iris and focus dials on the back. I don't know where it goes on the camera or what it does. Can somebody please explain?
Thanks,
Matt

What it does is attach to the pan handle of your tripod and allow you to control the various functions on the dvx while stadning back and looking at the screen, instead of finding all the different control around the camera with your eye glued to the eye piece.

Their VZ Pro-L is awesome, but it won't work with the DVX since it is a true LANC connector and the DVX isn't LANC compatible.

One of the DVX problems is lack of true lanc remote abilities.

I'm hoping that is resolved with the upcoming HVX

Matt,

This is Tom McKay from VariZoom. The control(s), we have two, plug in to the back of the DVX 100B or HVX. Once plugged in you will have complete control over the zoom, focus and iris. The rocker is for zoom and there are two dials for control over focus and iris.

There will be more information and pictures posted on our site soon. We will also have the controls attached and on display at the DV Expo show in Los Angeles next week in the Panasonic booth as well as some of our VariZoom dealers..
