Varizoom Rock for HVX200 Problem, Please help!

Hey there guys, I just got a Varizoom Rock today and for some reason nothing on it is working properly. I followed all directions and it's plugged in solidly and correctly and all the settings are set right on camera. The only thing that works is if I zoom out with the on camera zoom rocker but immediately after the Varizoom is zooming back in without me even touching anything. Iris and focus knobs are completely not working.

I'm think I might have gotten a bum Rock... or maybe I'm just not doing something right.

Just check again and the rec buttons works. still nothing from focus/iris and zoom controls except i can stop the immediate zoom in if i toggle the rocker one way but as soon as i let go it goes right back to zooming into 55

any advice suggestions?
 
Are the plugs in firmly? They're quite stiff, and I sometimes find I haven't got them in all the way.

no its definately not that, I have them plugged in as far and as firm as they'll go. The focus and iris knobs started working but the zoom is still very messed up

its weird as soon as i plug in the zoom plug in it immediately starts zoomin in as fast as it can go

Wow! That's awesome to hear Tom, though I think the online retailer that I purchased this PZFI Rock Controller from is already shipping me a new one

I didn't even have to wait to ship it back, or do anything, They are sending me a UPS label so I don't even have to pay for return shipping

Lol I knew I threw in to many exclamation points in that post...

but seriously, im not used to this kind of customer service. It's usually, here send your defective product back and maybe in 3 weeks we'll call you back and ask you to pay 200 dollars for repair but maybe we'll just make you wait 2 months before we ship the same broken item back to you in the same box.
