It's finally for sale...

what's your oppinion on this on-camera light? I know it's new and all but I'm sure someone in here has something to say. Let's say compared to other similar products? like the litepanel? not as big and powerful, but cheaper and easier to handle?

I'd like to hear your thoughts

Morten,

These things are just now shipping so you may not find any owners in here yet. Why don't you be the first and I'll knock off $50.00 and you can return it for any reason. I think your going to like it.

*wants a new light - looks like it's going to be a Varizoom*

I think I want one of these, I would probably choose the one that uses the sony batteries because they are dirt cheap and I already have a couple for my sony on camera video light (That I don't like). I usually use a cool Lux Mini Cool with a soft box and a bescor battery pack for more serious shoots, but this could be interesting and light weight. I just wonder what type of diffusion those filters on there will give you. It is dimmable though and thats a real perk.

I just noticed the on the all products page the price is listed as $329.00 but when you go directly to the page the price is $399.00.

I don't know about it being not as bright... The Litepanel Mini claims 450 lux at 1. 2 meters (spot head) and the Varizoom claims 550 lux at 1 meter.

The price is $399 that was a mistake in that section. It has been fixed.

I'll extend the same deal to all that see it in the forum for the next two weeks.

$349. will be the DVXuser price for the next 2 weeks.

Just call in and order as it has not even been available to dealers it is so new.

Best regards,

Tom

I figured it was a mistake and I'm glad it has been corrected, is there any difference in the size of the clamp on the battery holder between the different models? I'm considering purchasing the version that uses sony batteries and I want to make sure it will fit my DVX if I decide to take the plunge.

Hey Tom,

I'm a big fan of VZ products and am considering getting the light. I have a VZ 7" Monitor and 3 batteries to go with it. Is there a version of the light that I can utilize the those batteries?

Thx.

Do you ship to Singapore?

Clamp width

Yeah it is a hefty clamp and has fit on every mini DV camera so far.

It should fit fine.

Right now that is not set up for the 702M batteries but we will consider it.

Thanks,

Tom
