Hi all
Pretty sure my much loved Varizoom has gone off to the happy hunting grounds, but thought I would post here and see if others have had my issue as well. I did some searching and did not find a similar thread.
I have a Varizoom DV/HD for my HVX200. Flawless work from day one. It's old no doubt about it.
When I use the Varizoom thumbpad to focus the camera in, as soon as I release the Varizoom thumbpad, the HVX200 returns to the original wide open focus point. If I remove the Varizoom and focus with the camera thumbpad all is good, the focus holds on the new point. Have tried all combos of manual and auto settings and always get the same "return to start" behavior when using the Varizoom
My limited testing can't tell me if the problem is the Varizoom unit itself or the plugin insertion port of the HVX200. I hope it is the Varizoom, but I can see a bit of wiggle on the camera plugin port, so I can't rule that out. Anyone else experienced this?
thoughts?
Jeff
