need a little help on overcoming a writers block,
you know that old game where one person says one word and the other says the first thing that comes into their head?

Well if I say 'vampire' ... hit me with the first thing that comes into your head, can be anything ...

Sex (vampirism has been said to have a very sexual component to it, especially with shows and films in the past decade; intimate sharing of fluids, control, eternal youth / beauty, the whole shebang)

I had this killer idea where vampires outnumbered humans and zombies were attacking what was left so the vampires and humans banded together to try to save both species.... then I saw Daybreakers trailer. I was crushed.

So yeah, it is a bit overdone. =/

long nails... but that's more of a nosferatu :)

I think "Nosferatu" was Nosferatu to avoid the long nails of copyright infringement... like garlic and crosses... it didn't work...

Those blood sucking relative s of authors who want their due just because they were 'associated' with the author...

from the wiki article on "Nostferatu"(1922).

This was the first and last Prana Film; the company declared bankruptcy after Bram Stoker's estate, acting for his widow, Florence Stoker, sued for copyright infringement and won. The court ordered all existing prints of Nosferatu destroyed, but copies of the film had already been distributed around the world. These prints were then copied over the years, helping Nosferatu gain its current reputation as one of the greatest movie adaptations of the vampire legend.

Here's some news. This piece started as an improv, me just jamming with two actors quite similar to my last 4 or 5 pieces. We stumbled upon such great material that I have upped the budget and duration so now its a short film – possibly my entry for this seasons festivals. Most of the plot twists are in place. The words I read here in this thread have helped lead me in new directions, adding layers to the icing on the cake so to speak. For that I thank you.

I love it, so diverse, keep em coming if you feel like it!

The copyright stuff about Nosferatu is pretty interesting, money is such a motivator.

The Christabel comment earlier lead me to wikipedia and to discover new things. Another

interesting word I got hit with recently was the word 'transaction'
