Vampirates

I totally wrote this exact idea in one of my notebooks earlier this year... guess that's another page I can tear out. :sad:

It's a novel series, 3 books so far. one short 100 page mini book also.

About Grace and Connor Tempest, twins on the Australian coast. In a villiage called Cresent Moon Bay, there father owns a lighthouse. After he passes away, the locals start to talk about the kids, adoption etc. Though since they've never really fit in they decide to escape to sea to try and find a new life.

Did i mention its set in the future? 2505.

So after escaping in there fathers boat, they get seperated in a storm. Grace gets rescued by a ship of the damned known as The Nocturne, full of vampires. Connor by a ship called The Diablo, captained by a famous pirate Captain Wraithe. Great books. Not alot happens in each book, but its the way its told, twists, turns, the characters and all that.

Anyway I could say more but I won't unless anyone wants. There's some great synopsis out there written for them. Created by Justin Somper.

& no, vampires that are on a ship, kept away from civilisation where they can feast on there 'donurs' of blood once a weak. A ship with Bat wings and no Sails. Also, these vampires suck close to the heart than the throat.

I, on the other hand, came up with:

Vampanitors! or Janitires. I dunno which one is catchier. But you combine anything with a vampire, it's bound to be cool.

What about Vampasaur? I defy you to come to come up with something cooler than a Vampasaurus Rex! Maybe a Zombie/Vampire...but it would be close.
 
There was a stage show in Melbourne, some sort of cabaret dinner theater or something, called Vampirates.

As for Vampasaurus Rex, I remember when the NBA awarded a team to Toronto and they chose the name "Raptors", and the radio show hosts were furious because they thought the team should have been called "Torontosaurus Rex".
 
Dr. Acula was an idea of mine. "I vuant to take your blood test, muahaha"

Nah, got it from scrubs... but still a good idea.
 
i actually wrote a treatment for Vampirates in a screenwriting class about two years ago. i never wrote the full screenplay because i hated the direction i went with it after the first twenty pages. it was good up until then, but i got stuck...
 
I hope so, because if that wasn't a care bear I burned then I'm In deep sh1t.
