V3HD/V4HD Anyone using it?

I am looking for an "all-in-one" interface for FCS. I have the Black Magic, but not really impressed with it and it does not support HD.

All of my audio interfaces are MOTU (1296, 828MkII) but have no experience with the video side of MOTU.

If you have a V3 or V4, I would love to talk to you. I just got back from NAMM and MOTU had one on the floor, but couldn't really talk to them, as I was working in my own booth.

Hi,

I just sent my V3HD out for upgrading (for FREE no less) to V4HD. The V4HD offers ProRes and some other goodies. The unit is basically good for converting from VHS, S-VHS or other Component sources in either SD or HD. You can import/Export up to 8 channels of audio in either AES or Analog, depending on the connector(s) you use.

There is FireWire 400 and 800 Output. I am using the unit for 'vintage' tape transfer to DVDs.

Once I get the Upgrade, I'll post about it. In the meantime, check out www.motu.com for all the gory details...
