V-mount batteries and V Mount Plate contacts, how much weight can the V-mount hold?

I noticed that Fotga has released a V-Mount plate that can charge a V-mount battery but there are only 2 contacts on the Vmount plate - the outer positive and negative contacts only?

Is this possible? Does the battery know to switch to being charged? I guess it could since Sony NPF batteries only have 2 contacts for using and recharging.

My understanding is that there is another contact on the Vmount battery specific for charging?

Also, how much weight can the V-mount locking system hold, especially if you mount it upside down, where the weight relies on the locking pin to hold it?

Thank you.

There is a data line that some cameras and chargers use to keep track of the battery while in use, but there is also data on the power lines too. The only important third wire is the temperature cutoff sensor which is mostly used during charging to make sure not too cold or hot.
