Utilising a "spare" G5?

I use a dual 2.5 G5 as my FCP machine and happen to have another identical one sitting behind me on another desk. Is there any particularly efficient way I can utilise this power for encoding/rendering without having to manage my media across two seperate systems? I don't suppose there's any clever distributed computing tool whereby I can just send a project off to it and get it back via the network?

Any other suggestions for how I could utilise quite a chunk of unused computing power in my video work?

I looked into Qmaster briefly but thought it was only for things that it names like Shake etc. I've just gone back and looked through and realised that I *could* use it but it looks pretty complex. Are there any good guides out there for using it specifically with FCP?

Qmaster works with Shake and Compressor only. The only thing a second computer can do for FCP is act as a file server. Put really huge, big ass beer hard drives in it, get Airport Extreme base station, and use it to store stuff and free up your editing machine. Send your DVD jobs to it to burn, rather than you edit machine. Run Compressor on it to do encoding while you use FCP on your editing machine without the slow down.

But at this point there is no shared rendering in FCP.
