USPS going through my mail?

So I sold two 16gb sd cards on here and we agreed on sending it first class mail. I took the cards to the post office and I also gave him some stickers from a local skate shop just because I have a giant stack I need to get rid of. Anyway I tell the guy at the counter of the post office that I need to send this out first class and he gives me the envelope. So the envelope finally arrives to the guy today and he texted me saying that he got two stickers but no sd cards... Is there any way that the post office would have taken out my cards? If so, would I be able to pick them up and re send them out to him? What do I do about this situation because we are both pretty uneasy about it...

This is why you should always ship USPS Priority, insured with delivery confirmation. At this point, you have to believe your buyer (that the cards weren't in there)... was the package opened when recieved?
Other then that, without insurance....you're kind of out of luck. :(

Thats what I thought, like why would they deliver half of the stuff?... He said the envelope wasn't opened or anything...

three possibilities:

1. buyer is lying.
2. seller didn't put the cards in.
3. post office opened up the mail and stole the cards.

#3 seems the least likely of the possibilities.

Well I know for a fact I put in the cards, and he has plenty of people to vouch for him that he's done deals with so I don't think he would make that up... I was reading into it and other people have had similar problems sending small items in regular envelopes. Apparently if it can't fit through the processing machine they take it out and don't tell you about it.
