Using Zero "Look Room"

So far "look room" is the only term I've heard for it, but when two people are talking and their shots are framed so they're each a little left or right in the frame (more open space given in the direction of the off-screen person).

Currently I'm working on a scene where I'm considering using nearly zero "look room" and having the characters talk directly into the edge of the frame. I've seen it in Garden State and Collateral, but I'm curious if anyone knows other good examples of it.

Thanks.

The term your looking for is "Negative Space". Search under that phrase and you'll find more examples of what your looking for.

Not familiar with many specifics, but what that will display is your characters not being open to each other or not letting the audience "in".
