Using your iPhone to measure camera vibration.

Since I know that every camera person in the world ever has an iPhone (defiantly true in the UK) I thought I would share this tip.

When shooting with dancers on a suspended floor, the camera shot is often quite shakey. Every time they land the camera shakes. Whilst using an iPhone cant stop this happening, it can atleast show you how much these dancy arty people are ruining your carefully composed shot.

I downloaded an app called Seismometer and rested the iPhone ontop of the camera body, so it kind of wedged itself between the top handle and the top rail. Using this, I entertained myslef through lots of takes by watching when the worse shakes were.

I guess it could be used to see if you have reduced any vibration, but its nice to see it happen.
