I'm going to participate in a local 48-Hour Fest project. Since I use Premiere and the other editors will be using FCP 7, I tested out the XML export from Premiere, and one of the others imported it... however, there was an error on import which was due to the fact that the media was placed in a certain path on my machine.
The question is, how does one either set a 'relative path' option for the XML, or does the XML correctly import to FCP, despite the missing media error, then in FCP 7, use the find footage option to relink the footage to the project. Naturally the recipient has the footage somewhere on their system, but may not have it in the exact same path place I do.
