Hi all,
I'm interested in a rectilinear ultrawide, and was pleased to find that at least one, the Voigtlander 15mm, is within my price range.

However, the lens must be used in mirror lock-up mode, and I'm wondering if the LEX provides clearance for such lenses? I haven't been able to find specs on how far behind the flange it would intrude. While I could remove the glass that (sort-of) seals the ground glass compartment, I would of course prefer not to.
I'd appreciate any input you could throw my way...
Thanks much!
Paul
PS - for you optics geeks out there (raises hand)... Why is the Voigtlander (not exactly a budget brand) so inexpensive at ~$500, when the alternatives are so very, very not? The only lens that's in the ballpark is the AF 14mm f/2.8 ED, at $1200, and of course there's the older, look-it's-Bigfoot-rare AI-S 13mm f/5.6 at $6000 plus, if you can find one. Gray's of Manchester had one, but it got snapped up. Seriously, who has that kind of coin? ^_^
Thanks again!
