using vegas to remove pull-down

Hey, I only have ppro 1, but want to edit pure 24fps adn shoot 24pa. However, I do have a friend with Vegas who will let me use it to remove the 2:3:3:2 pull-down and export the raw footage as a pure 24fps file to use in ppro 1. What setting do I use in Vegas to import 24pa correctly and how should I export it so that it can be used by ppro 1(which people tell me can edit and export 24fps fine, just can't remove the pull-down-IF THIS IS UNTRUE PLEASE TELL ME)
THank you

Vegas doesn't remove pulldown at capture; it only removes it on a 24p timeline within Vegas. When it captures, the files are captured as 60i AVIs.

Here is what you do, but you are going to lose a generation unless you export at AVI uncompressed. Start a new Vegas project. In the preferences use the dv 24p template standard or widescreen depending on your footage. capture all you clips as normal and then drag and drop them into your timeline. Then go to "render" and render and choose the quicktime setting. You can then decide on your compression DV-NTSC will work the best, and then make sure you choose 24fps progressive as the framerate. Export your Quicktime movies and then start a new Premiere Pro project. In the project settings go into the customize tab and choose your framerate of 24 and set it to progressive. You can then edit in a true 24p timeline, it's just a little bit more of a hassle, not to mention if you ever need to offline your files and or recapture them later.
