Using Transition Effects

Hey,

None of the books or tutorials I've read have covered this topic but just recently I've had the need to use them.

Basically what I'm trying to achieve is a 30 stills in a row using the Fade - overexposed transition.

How should I go about this? Any tutorials out there explaining just how transitions work in AE?

One way to do it is like this:

Quickly crossfade the clips using Opacity.. apply an adjustment layer above the clips with an Exposure effect and keyframe the exposure.

Make sure to use 32bpc.
