Using the RGB Curves Effect

I was wondering, does changing the RGB colors on a piece of recorded footage result in loss of resolution? (In premiere 2.0 for example)

Resolution...no, however when you do any tpe of ccing it is somewhat distructive to your image (any image unless you are adjusting an uncompressed raw file) because dv samples color every 4 pixels (4:1:1) you can see blocking in your footage if 2 mhc is applied (you can even see blocking if your subject is overly saturated with red blue or green) If you want to do a lot of color correcting, the best way is to convert it to a better codec dv 50 codec or even better (uncompressed or cineform) and use it in the appropriate timeline to do your color correcting and then you can convert it back to dv25.
