So that's the DVX's Spotmeter, right?
The answer measurement it gives us is a percentage number, from 1% (or 0%) until 99more%. That made me curious if that number was an actual reflectance rate (ignoring te fact that I've seen more waveforms I can remember), where 12% would be a mid gray. Wholy confusion, it's even easier. That is the IRE number, and by looging at a chip chart as those ( http://www.kenstone.net/fcp_homepage/over_under_expose_video.html ), that is confirmed. So what it's roughly saying is that if I want to use the zone system, I can have a rough notion of what zone I am by looking at the marker numbers, right? If I want to light a scene so the key light is making my talent's face fall in zone VI, I can only see if my marker is showing a reading by 60% and I'll be good, right? Please someone confirm that to me otehrwise I might be going crazy...
