Using the Cinetactics Matteblox w/Filter

I have recently purchased the Cinetactics Matteblox (used from dvxuser.com!) and I have purchased some 4x4 filters (thanks Rush!). Now I am trying to make it all work. Issue is when you are zoomed wide it seems to pickup some of the filter left and right. Those things don't fit in there too well. Do I just keep squishing them inside the hood until the edges go away?

Guess I thought it would fit better. Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks much.

No that's the way it is - just squash them in tight. If you are using the oversized french flag ( a beauty) you might try putting some velcro on you original DVX shade and using the 4X4 with the over-sized french flag.

Sounds like a good idea. I will look into it.

Thanks.

Here's another suggestion to check out - a thin strip of velcro on the inside of your DVX shade box would put the filters close to your lenses. then the over-sized french flag velcroed on the exterior of your DVX shade. I ruined a beautiful shot as a result of the edges of the 4X4 filter fixed to my matteblox because the DVX LCD did not give me the full picture. I only saw it on the computer when editing. Maybe I didn't check carefully enough while shooting but none the less take care :-/
