using mini dv camera for tape deck

Is it possible to run a mini dv camera through a mac pro with firewire and then out to a monitor http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produ...0CGU_TMH_150CGU_15_Inch_Color_Production.html with those red yellow and white cables and use it the same way a tape deck would be used? thanks

Yes, that will work as long as you are viewing SD footage.
